Position Summary:Full-Time (1st Shift)
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Program Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of aerospace manufacturing programs. The ideal candidate will assist in managing program schedules, budgets, customer communications, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful delivery of aerospace components and systems in compliance with industry standards.
- Assist the Program Manager in planning, tracking, and executing programs from initiation through delivery.
- Support customer interface and communication, including coordination of program updates, reporting, and presentations.
- Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance) to ensure program requirements are met.
- Monitor and update project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations using project management tools.
- Help identify program risks and assist with developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Track key program performance metrics (KPIs) and generate regular status reports.
- Support change management processes, including engineering change requests (ECRs) and customer change orders.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO standards, ITAR regulations, and customer contractual requirements.
- Assist in preparation for and participation in customer audits and program reviews.
- Maintain program documentation, including schedules, meeting minutes, action items, and deliverables.
- 2+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industry (program or project coordination role preferred).
- Working knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience supporting DoD or aerospace OEM customers.
- Must be able to work in an office setting
- While performing duties, you will be required to sit for long periods of time and use keyboards/computer mouse for most of the day.
- Frequent use of hands and wrists for typing and data entry as well as kneeling, crouching/stooping, walking, reaching overhead or below.
- Moving, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying objects up to 15lbs.
- Must be able to provide visual acuity
- Must be able to perform repetitive movements daily.
- Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on the shop floor
- Travel occasionally out of state or country
