Job Description
Protect Environmental is growing! We are passionate about creating a positive impact in our communities and are looking for a Project Coordinator to become the newest addition to Team Green.
Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator serves a key role in managing the onsite communication and operations of all commercial construction projects. The incumbent is responsible for procuring project specific inventory, necessary power equipment, managing access notifications and project flow as well as keeping the client’s onsite personnel informed of the project status along the way. It is pertinent for the Commercial Project Coordinator to be able to communicate and organize the day-to-day operations with the onsite field technicians and report any issues or potential issues to the project management team. This role serves as a liaison between the onsite project team and the client’s onsite personnel.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Work with Project Managers, Field Technicians, customers, and local market operations on execution of commercial projects, this can include a variety of tasks depending on the specific project such as:
- Selecting and scheduling flights, lodging, and rental vehicles (if needed)
- Coordinating on-time inventory delivery, and equipment shipping.
- Coordinating equipment rental for lifts, drills, storage containers, etc.
- Prepare and distribute resident notifications based on access needs and scheduled project plans and send them to client’s onsite staff for resident distribution.
- Create materials and inventory list based on Project Managers system design specifications for the project then relay to Inventory Coordinator for fulfillment and shipping.
- Prepare and distribute technician work orders and project specific documentation for commercial construction projects.
- Coordinate with local market operation Project Managers to help them with construction and service projects not handled by the Louisville-based commercial technicians.
- Liaise between Project Managers, Field Technicians and Client’s onsite personnel to schedule jobs in the most efficient manner possible to cause as little onsite interruption as possible.
- Review and obtain permits for subcontractors, if applicable.
- Effectively documents any notable client, onsite staff or resident interactions and enter into the company’s CRM.
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree preferred.
- At least one year of experience in customer service, scheduling, project coordination, etc.
- Experience providing administrative and operational support to management.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate efficiently with multiple moving parts and various levels of management and team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- This job operates primarily in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required.
This position offers competitive compensation starting at $18.00 an hour. Compensation varies based on skill, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for competitive benefits and travel reimbursement.
