- Assists with the development of scope of work and prepares cost estimates, request for information (RFI), change orders, contracts, and preparing project schedules.
- Tracks project schedules ensuring electrical work is completed on time and within budget.
- Interprets blueprints, designs, and specifications and ensures electrical systems are installed according to plan. Generates RFI’s as needed.
- Maintains as-builts, updating one-line diagrams, and verifying field conditions against design documents.
- Evaluates and submits subcontractor bids for approval and issues subcontractors master agreements.
- Prepares sketches and written RFIs to identify information gaps and/or adjustment proposals to ensure accuracy of construction execution plan.
- Assembles, installs, and tests electrical and/or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures; utilizes hand tools and power tools independently.
- Installs conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas; pulls insulated wires or cables through conduit to complete circuits between boxes. Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
- Supports team members in areas of problem solving, decision making, process improvement, and professional growth in accordance with company policies.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including National Electrical Code (NEC) and Title 24.
- Maintains a safe work environment; work in a safe manner following all safety SOP’s and wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Ensures the team has sufficient inventory to meet production goals while maintaining responsibility of assigned materials and consumables.
- Ensures critical path milestones and requirements are on track and met throughout all phases of the project delivery.
- Coordinates and maintains consistent communication with other trades to ensure efficient project flow.
- Prepares weekly operations and project status reports for project managers, stakeholders, and department leads.
- Conducts on-site walkthroughs and inspections to ensure safe and proper installation.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
- Minimum four (4) years of relevant electrical experience; two (2) years of project engineering, preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, preferred.
- Relevant education in classes for electrical theory, mathematics, blueprint reading, and safety protocols, preferred.
- Completed certification of electrical apprenticeship.
- C10 license or Journeyman Electrician certification, preferred.
Pay Range: $28.81-$38.00/hr.
