Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Modeler to join a growing Water/Wastewater engineering practice. This mid-senior role focuses on hydraulic modeling projects for water distribution and sewer collection systems in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and calibrate hydraulic models for water/sewer systems
  • Conduct master planning and system performance analyses
  • Prepare technical reports and design recommendations
  • Manage modeling tasks within project budgets and schedules
  • Coordinate with project teams and clients
  • Mentor junior engineers in modeling techniques
  • Perform quality control on modeling deliverables
  • Occasionally conduct field investigations

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • Experience:
    • 8-10+ years in water/wastewater hydraulic modeling
    • Must Have:
      • Proficiency with InfoWorks, WaterGEMS, XPSWMM, PCSWMM, or EPA-SWMM
      • Experience with sewer rehabilitation and water system design
      • Strong engineering economics and report writing skills
  • Technical Skills:
    • Transient analysis and data management
    • GIS integration with hydraulic models
    • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent technical writing and presentation abilities
    • Project coordination and team mentoring
