Hiring: Project Manager 3
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager 3 to support critical initiatives at client location. This role requires a seasoned project management professional with deep DOE experience, strong EVMS knowledge, and expertise in cost control, budgeting, and performance measurement.
About the Role
The Project Manager 3 is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing all project activities for assigned projects. This role provides leadership to project teams, ensures project goals are achieved, and oversees performance against budget, schedule, and project plans.
You will operate with significant independence, using advanced technical and project management knowledge to solve complex problems and drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, organize, and manage project activities for assigned projects.
- Direct project teams and group leaders to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and performance; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Assign and approve personnel for key project positions.
- Provide input to and approve project budgets and schedules.
- Participate in division-level planning and policy development.
- Solve complex project challenges requiring in-depth analysis and creative approaches.
- Manage small, complex, multi-function projects within a single business line.
- (If serving as CAM) Apply advanced project controls: cost estimating, cost analysis, scheduling, EVMS, and detailed reporting.
Required Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline (or equivalent project management education) ✔ 15–20 years of experience in two or more of the following:
- Project management
- Engineering
- Construction
- Project controls
- Procurement ✔ Extensive experience with:
- EVMS (Earned Value Management System)
- DOE projects
- Cost control & cost analysis
- Budgeting, planning, and performance measurement ✔ Ability to resolve complex issues and provide strategic leadership ✔ Ability to work with minimal direction and high autonomy
