Position Summary
The Project Manager plays a vital role in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. This position bridges the gap between field operations, clients, and management—coordinating resources, maintaining compliance, and driving performance excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project coordination or junior project management experience to grow within a stable and expanding company.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Define project scope, access points, and deliverables.
Develop project schedules, timelines, and cost estimates.
Secure necessary permits, access rights, and safety approvals.
Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and utility owners to confirm inspection and service requirements.
Assist with project kick-offs, scheduling, and scope development.
Execution & Field Oversight
Monitor daily field operations and ensure progress aligns with project plans.
Troubleshoot site issues including access, scheduling, or equipment challenges.
Track project milestones, footage covered, and inspection completion.
Manage change orders and adjust scopes as needed.
Resource & Fleet Management
Assign field crews and manage equipment allocation.
Oversee fleet maintenance, R&M logs, and equipment certifications.
Maintain up-to-date inventories of tools, cameras, and trucks.
Quality Assurance & Safety
Ensure operators follow inspection standards and safety protocols.
Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks.
Verify accurate defect coding, data entry, and client reporting.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, confined space entry, and local safety standards.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
Track project costs and P&L performance (labor, materials, and equipment usage).
Approve invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.
Support billing processes, including AR follow-ups and resolving invoice discrepancies.
Maintain organized documentation, job records, and schedules.
Client & Team Communication
Serve as the main contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Provide regular status updates and escalate issues to the Regional Manager when necessary.
Attend project kick-off and progress meetings.
Manage client expectations and ensure deliverables meet specifications.
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in project coordination or management (environmental, utilities, or construction industries preferred).
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
Experience with estimating, cost tracking, and scheduling.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of OSHA and safety compliance standards preferred.
Must comply with company drug and alcohol policies.
