THE HIGH LEVEL
An Iron Bow Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the planning, direction, and coordination of all activities of designated global projects. The PM will ensure that goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within scope, schedule, resource, and quality parameters, as defined within the executed Statement of Work (SOW) and/or Customer Contract. In this role, the project manager will primarily support the DoD IT global initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Provide project management leadership and direction by integrating internal, subcontract, and customer staff into cohesive team structures.
- Effectively manage multiple concurrent medium to large-level projects.
- Provide project status reports, monitor, and track entire project lifecycle, leverage Microsoft Project reporting tools and be accountable for overall project success. This includes full financial assessment and responsibility of project profitability.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of all contractual artifacts including proposal documents, Statements of Work (SOW), deliverables, mandatory reports, CLINs, and Service Level Agreements among others.
- Assess client business and technical objectives, determine deliverables, evaluate risk, and execute projects.
- Understand and apply the Iron Bow Project Management Methodology processes and procedures.
- Understand and abide by the Iron Bow ISO 9001 policies and procedures.
- Some travel will be expected as well as an expectation of after hours work, as needed, for implementation deployment tasks, cutover tasks, etc.
- Additional duties as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is desired with 10 years prior related project management experience in IT, specifically with Department of Defense customers, is desired.
- Experience with Department of Defense customers on Tactical Communications and IT deployments desired.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is desired.
- Minimum DoD Secret clearance is desired.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Position is remote with approximately 10% travel requirement.
