About The Role:

As Project Manager, you will lead the on-the-ground execution of electrification projects and depot build-outs for commercial fleets. This is a hands-on and in-the-field role for someone who can manage complex construction timelines and budgets while also helping to shape how we develop, deploy, and manage these systems across their lifecycle.

You’ll take projects from development through construction and post-construction O&M while also contributing to process improvement, internal documentation, and product innovation that will help Pave scale and operate with excellence. This role is ideal for a builder - someone who takes pride not only in delivering physical assets, but also in helping build the systems and standards that make those deployments possible.

Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution

• Lead cross-functional project delivery from pre-construction through commissioning, closeout, and ongoing asset management.

• Coordinate on-site diligence, permitting, engineering, procurement, and construction workflows.

• Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation; manage cost control and critical path timelines.

• Translate complex projects into actionable steps that can be clearly understood and executed by all project stakeholders.

• Prepare RFPs, scopes of work, and technical briefs to engage contractors, engineers, and suppliers.

• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and on-site execution partners, including inspections and quality control.

• Lead and/or support commissioning, testing, and handoff to operations.

Upstream & Downstream Integration

• Support project development by evaluating early-stage feasibility, shaping technical concepts, and flagging constructability risks.

• Contribute to the development of internal documentation, templates, and best practices to accelerate future deployments.

• Collaborate on product development and service innovation using real-world learnings.

• Plan and execute post-construction asset management and O&M activities.

Team & Business Building

• Help develop and reinforce Pave’s culture of excellence, trust, and transparency.

• Contribute to our hiring, onboarding, and cross-functional collaboration efforts.

• Jump in on high-priority efforts beyond traditional PM scope, supporting company-wide momentum and progress.

Experience & Requirements:

• 5+ years of project management experience in energy, construction, or infrastructure projects.

• Experience delivering commercial solar, EV charging, battery storage, or distributed energy projects.

• Deep familiarity with site-level construction workflows, permitting, and contractor coordination, and extensive experience working in the field on commercial projects.

• Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project, Gantt charts, Excel/Sheets), and familiarity with technical drawings.

• Strong working knowledge of construction safety (OSHA), project controls, and quality standards.

• Ability to perform on-site diligence and quality inspections.

• Ability to travel by car or plane 1 week per month at least.

Nice To Haves:

• Electrical contracting experience or licensure (e.g., C-10).

• Experience with testing, commissioning, and asset management for energy systems.
