Role Overview
The Project Manager ensures that all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed, and managed in accordance with the Company's requirements, including but not limited to, safety, quality, management, and financial performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Sales with job technical details and system engineering.
- Contact/Coordinate every customer's job to notify them you are the project manager and point of contact. Work with a scheduler on project timing as/if required.
- Work with CAD department on system design and drawings to be submitted as needed.
- Monitor status of permit process for jobs you have been assigned and require a permit.
- Visit every job site to verify scope of work and equipment to be ordered prior to starting.
- Approve all job equipment list to be ordered.
- Monitor status of equipment delivery.
- Create project schedule for larger jobs and verify everything is progressing according to schedule by visiting job site.
- Schedule SMG/CAS labor for programing and testing projects.
- Define product training needs and coordinate with your team.
- Request and email affidavit forms and perform final inspections for all permitted jobs.
- Complete any job closing documentation and complete tasks in Sedona.
- Confirm any as-built drawing changes have been completed.
- Any other duties as assigned by management or based on the businesses needs.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in electronic security and life safety systems or a related technical or construction field and supervisory or managerial experience
- Ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks, and manage these to final completion and customer turnover.
- OSHA 10 & 30 Certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of NFPA72 and NEC70 codes is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
- Must have proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
- Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
Work Requirements:
- Frequent standing or walking on job sites required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer for planning, documentation, and project management tasks.
- Ability to drive to job sites, client meetings, and inspections as needed.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor job sites, construction zones, and mechanical rooms.
