Compensation Range:

$96,600.00 - $146,116.00

Job Description:

Purpose of Job:

Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by providing behavioral health services to CHAS patients as follows:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnoses and evaluates mental, emotional, behavioral, educational, and developmental disorders of individuals.

  • Prepares written reports summarizing the patient history, assessment process, and results, diagnosis, and treatment recommendation.

  • Collects data about individual through use of interview, case history, and observational techniques.

  • Administers, scores and interpret assessment tests.

  • Treats psychological disorders to effect improved adjustments.

  • Collaborates with Psychiatrist, Behavioral Health Providers, Primary Care Providers and other specialists in developing treatment programs for patients.

  • Performs other duties as assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Doctorate degree in psychology required. Valid licensure in Washington State required.  Previous experience working with underserved populations preferred. 

Other Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills required with the ability to document electronically clearly and efficiently, using medical terminology and accurate spelling.  BLS (CPR/AED) required. Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment is required.

Physical Demands:

Psychologists must be able to move around the facility less than 1/3rd of the day, and sits over 2/3rds of the day.  Using hands and reaching with arms occurs less than 1/3rd of the day, while climbing, stooping or crawling happens occasionally.  Communicating is also required over 2/3rds of the day,.  Lifting up to 10 lbs occurs about half the time, while up to and above 25 lbs occurs only occasionally.  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
