Keytronic Oakdale, MN facility is seeking a PVA Machine Operator. This position operates the PVA conformal coating machine; they apply conformal coating to electronic circuity to act as protection against moisture, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

  • Set up PVA by verifying the type of material being applied to the PCB using Aegis procedures.
  • Measures test coupon thickness and records results on coupon daily.
  • Calls up machine programs, loads boards, runs complete job.
  • The operator shuts down PVA once job/shift is complete per procedures.
  • Various cross training
  • Coating mixture with thinner filling up canisters
  • Touch up and inspection
  • All other duties assigned by lead / supervisor

SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED

Is supervised by the Director of Manufacturing and General Assembly Supervisor and has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms. The environment is fast-paced, time pressured, and requires accuracy. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building and production floor. Effectively communicate orally and written. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school education or equivalent along with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Successful completion of ESD Safety training and IPC-A-610 certification.
  • Has the ability to recognize problems in the operation process or with components and to highlight/communicate those problems to Team Leader.
  • Good vision, hand coordination and manual dexterity are required.
  • Ability to read, write and otherwise communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to read and understand work routers, bill of materials, assembly drawings, component identification, component polarity, Aegis processes, and written procedures.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and handle high volume workloads.
  • Basic PC Knowledge required.
