QA Specialist I-Open To Current MBS Employees Only

We're looking for an individual with flexible skills who can provide support in the following areas to help us meet our mission: DUTIES: Assists in Quality Improvements Projects by collecting data and performing analysis. Conducts New Associate training for Collections staff. Initiates and tracks blood product recalls and withdrawal notifications Initiates and tracks post-donation information reports (PDIRs) Initiates and tracks Blood Product Holds Initiates and tracks Accident Investigations Initiates and tracks Variance reports Monitors staff Hepatitis B testing Processes FIL Deferral Notification letters Enters and/or retrieves data from various QA databases and/or spreadsheets for analysis and decision making Reviews inter-departmental records for completeness and accuracy Attends Safety Committee meetings and assists in emergency drills. Performs internal audits of MBS mobile operations and reviews/analyzes data and documentation Other duties, as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three (3) years of quality or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and training preferred. Preferred: Minimum: Associate degree in Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science or related field of science with 3 years of quality assurance experience in a blood bank or related setting.
