Are you passionate about precision, science, and making a real impact on product excellence? Join AMMA as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, where your expertise will directly influence the consistency and performance of our innovative materials. In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of prepreg testing and support live production with real-time quality assessments—ensuring our products meet the highest internal and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Perform and review quality control tests including Viscosity, DSC Tg, FT-IR, and electrical testing.
- Write and execute protocols for instrument qualification and requalification.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and test methods as needed.
- Maintain and update specifications and analytical databases.
- Validate test methods internally or through approved third-party labs.
- Investigate non-conforming products and customer complaints, reporting findings to management.
- Stay current with regulatory changes and recommend new technologies.
- Support all other aspects of the QC department as needed.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.
- Work in environments with varying weather conditions.
- Clear verbal communication for safety on the production floor.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Chemistry, STEM field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or quality control preferred.
- Familiarity with instruments such as ICP/MS, UV-Vis, HPLC, HPTLC, and FT-IR.
- Strong multitasking and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical report writing.
