Your Role

The Environmental Monitoring Quality Control Technician (Intermediate Level) supports the environmental monitoring program with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. This role contributes to day-to-day monitoring operations, performing basic troubleshooting of monitoring setups and processes to ensure reliable and compliant results. The technician utilizes a foundational working knowledge of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to support accurate data documentation and reporting.

Shift/hours: Mon-Thurs 1pm-11pm (4 10hr shifts) on 2nd (B) shift

Duties Include

  • Perform environmental monitoring safely and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP standards.
  • Safely set up and operate environmental monitoring test equipment and monitor required inputs and outputs.
  • Ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns. Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the working environment and the site.
  • Perform basic level troubleshooting and set-ups.
  • Review and verify test and process data. Ensure accurate entry of data into the Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Participate in sustainability efforts.
  • Works under close supervision.
  • Support quality laboratory operations by completing GMP documentation, participating in OOS investigations, assisting with protocol execution, qualifications, and validations, and developing proficiency in independent environmental monitoring testing under senior technician supervision.

Physical Attributes

  • Exposure to machinery and equipment, chemical reagents, biological materials at Biosafety Levels 1 and 2, in a laboratory environment.
  • 100% Standing and/or sitting for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
  • Frequent lifting of 20 - 30 lbs. necessary/Max lifting - 40 to 50 lbs.
  • Bend and twist as needed.
  • Grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly, Fine motor skills are required

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of laboratory or cGMP manufacturing experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in any discipline.
  • 2+ years of laboratory or cGMP manufacturing experience.
  • Aseptic laboratory experience.
  • Basic knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other manufacturing regulatory requirements.
  • Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Read, follow and understand test methods, operating procedures and related documentation.

Pay Range for this position: $19.00-$30.00 per hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
