Job Description
Job Title: Quality Technician 1Position Reports To: Assistant Quality Assurance ManagerFLSA Status: Hourly
- This is a full-time permanent position eligible for enrollment in company benefit plans after 60 days and 40 hours Vacation after 90 days.
- January – April / Monday- Friday with weekends possible.
- May – December / Peak Season with 6 days a week possible.
- Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders.
- Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies.
- Identify, document and communicate quality issues.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of documents and data entered.
- Perform product inspections according to company and customer specifications.
- Perform CCP verifications.
- Perform equipment calibrations.
- Monitoring of assigned production processes.
- Collect product samples for analysis and retention.
- Maintain and complete data entry logs.
- Maintain and complete daily paperwork.
- Maintain an organized work area.
- Maintain adequate inventory of lab supplies.
- Training of quality control technicians.
- Other duties assigned by Quality Management.
- Above average attendance required.
- Above average computer skills.
- Communication skills: verbally and electronically.
- Problem solving.
- Attention to detail and organized.
- Meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated.
- Work well with others and alone.
- Work in a fast paced environment.
- Use of technical equipment as needed.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
- Degree or equivalent: High School Diploma
- Experience:
- Product inspection
- Preferred – 6+ months similar or applicable to position applied for
