Quality Technician II

• Promote Standard Iron’s Core Values of “Commitment to People, Commitment to Customers, and Commitment to Action”.
• Efficiently inspect parts of a moderate complexity.
• Facilitate actions required when Non-Conformances arise, both external and internal, including customer communications.
• Sustain quality procedures, systems, and requirements to assure customer satisfaction.
• Interpret customer prints, specifications, weld, and workmanship standards.
• Perform part inspections for ISIR’s and other production parts as needed.
• Update part specific Control Plans as quality issues dictate.
• Assist in Gage R&R and Process Capability Studies.
• Engage in Tier II Triangle activities including daily meetings to support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate the calibration of metrology equipment, gages and test equipment as needed.

• Trigonometry basics and math skills, which include proficiency with fractions, decimals, and metrics.
• Experience with blueprint reading including basic dimensioning, true position and welding callouts.
• Proficient in use of inspection equipment including weld gages, calipers, micrometers, height stands, and protractors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills working in a Team environment.
