Radiation Therapist- PRN/Casual

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Radiation Therapist- PRN/Casual. This role will be great for someone that has a passion for radiation and great customer service for our patients we serve. This specific position will work from the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center- Nebraska Medical Center Or Village Pointe Cancer Center at Omaha, NE.

Radiation Therapist Description:

Responsible for performing the accurate delivery of prescribed ionizing therapeutic radiation using a variety of complex techniques and equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy technology or completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) special eligibility requirement course is required.

  • Effective verbal/written communication skills required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later.)

  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiation therapy required.

  • CPR certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in radiation oncology is preferred.

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in radiologic technology or related field is preferred.

  • Expertise in operation of linear accelerators and CT simulators and ability to fabricate treatment devices preferred.

  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography preferred.

  • Nebraska License to practice medical radiography preferred.
