DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: St. Charles Health System Diagnostic Imaging Departments perform X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Dexa, Mammography Nuclear Medicine exams in a variety of locations. We work closely with our partners at Cascade Medical Imaging to meet the imaging needs of our community and to support the ED, OR, Inpatient Floors, Family Birthing Center and Outpatient Services.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Redmond Diagnostic Imaging Manager at St. Charles Health System manages the operations of the Imaging services located in Redmond with a dotted line to the supervisors in Madras and Prineville. The Manager maintains standards for professional practice and regulatory compliance and is responsible for planning, budgeting, staffing, performance, and operation of assigned departments. This position provides resource information and diagnostic imaging expertise to other clinical departments and directly manages caregivers in X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, and support roles. This position does not directly manage caregivers in MRI, Registration or Echo, however, may be asked to review and provide feedback on the work of those caregivers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Creates, inspires and implements a department culture and leadership that embraces St. Charles Heath System's vision. Coaches and leads staff to achieve and exceed the standards required to accomplish this. Continually evaluates and adjust the steps necessary to meet this vision and motivate staff to achieve this in their daily work.

Manages integrated imaging services and coordinates operations with other system departments.

Responsible and accountable for successful daily operations of the department (including quality, safety, customer service, financial, and caregiver engagement targets.

Accountable for the long-term strategic performance of the Redmond campus Imaging departments including the identification of business development opportunities and the successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Assists with capital Budget and Strategic Planning preparation.

Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of diagnostic imaging services while maintaining compliance with pertinent laws and regulations.

Demonstrates effective financial management with the ability to develop cost-effective solutions relating to staffing, resource allocation, budget development, and management while meeting productivity goals.

Acts as the department liaison to other hospital departments and outside entities.

Responsible for resource management ensuring appropriate and sufficient equipment and supplies are available.

Sets and manages expectations of performance of caregivers related to SCHS values, accountability, caring and teamwork.

Monitors and ensure all direct reports are current with compliance and safety requirements. Implements and manages all organizational safety directives and goals.

Provides and oversees department's delivery of customer service in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient and accurate.

Executes and provides two-way communication of the SCHC mission, vision, values, and strategic plan for the department (staff meetings, huddles, rounds, etc.)

Monitors the function and performance of systems within the Imaging department including but not limited to electronic medical records and PACS.

Supports the vision, mission and values of the organization in all respects.

Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients and guests.

May perform additional duties of similar complexity within SCHS as required or assigned.

EDUCATION:

Required: High school diploma or GED. Graduate of a certified Radiologic Technology program or school.

Preferred: Bachelor's or master's degree in related field.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

Required: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid Oregon Board of Medical Imaging license in one or more modalities. Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to meet St. Charles Health System driving requirements.

Preferred: N/A

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Five (5) years' technologist experience in one (1) or more imaging modalities. Two (2) years' experience as Lead, Coordinator, or Supervisor in imaging modality.

Preferred: Previous Manager Experience.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.

Occasionally (25%): Standing, walking, bending, stooping/kneeling/crouching, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, lifting/carrying/pushing, or pulling 1-10 pounds, grasping/squeezing, operation of a motor vehicle, ability to hear whispered speech level.
