This position is scheduled on an as-needed basis. Shifts will vary and candidate must be willing to work any day of the week to include weekends.
Pay Range
$21.45 - $32.20EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Currently in the second year of an accredited college Radiologic Science Program. One year of training in your college's Radiologic Science Program.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:
Current BLS Provider Certification (American Heart Associate or American Red Cross)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
2. Performs diagnostic procedures and operates radiographic equipment effectively and efficiently while under the supervision and/or direction of staff technologists and supervisors.
3. Adheres to radiation exposure regulations and practices to ensure adequate radiation protection.
4. Ensures accurate patient records via correct data entry, validation and archival of images.
5. Provides age-developmental appropriate care in accordance with Age-Developmental Specific Guidelines for the age groups served when participating in patient care.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses and other ancillary professional staff when discussing procedures and patient care.
- Clinical skills to enable recognition and to function accordingly in relation to prioritizing of patient needs.
- Adaptable to changing work schedules
