Job Description

Reports to: Operations Manager

Ravenswood Studio is seeking a part-time (25 hours per week) Warehouse Coordinator and Driver (WCD) to assist with project logistics and facilities maintenance.

The candidate must be CDL Class C certified and have two years' experience operating forklifts.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Warehouse Coordinator and Driver (WCD) will operate the Ravenswood Fleet of vehicles, and organize materials across the shop to ensure that production is effective, safe, and efficient.

They will be well versed in the operations of the building, opening and closing, shipping and receiving, and also possess basic carpentry skills. This position is one that constantly moves to keep the shop humming with efficiency in mind.

WCD should have great spatial awareness, organization and is proactive. It is the responsibility of the WCD to work with the Project Managers, Department Managers and the Operations Manager to keep projects and materials flowing through the shop.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES•* Pick up and deliver materials and finished projects.•* Ship and receive orders. Take care to label and put away properly and alert the appropriate team member. •* Help the rest of the receiving team keep the office organized and the boards up to date. •* Proactively keep all inventory, scrap, job, and free to use racks organized.•* Maintain all shop expendables, keep the hardware aisle and tools stocked, organized and clean. •* Bring new ideas for organization to the Operations Manager and Department Managers for better shop flow, maintain these structures.•* Work closely with the Department Managers, and the Operations Manager to maximize efficiency across the shop.•* Cross-departmental support including material handling, element setup, space management, and packing/loading of completed units. •* Open and close the shop as needed. •* Maintain overall shop cleanliness and organization, contributing to a safe work environment.•* Assist on projects through basic carpentry.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS•* Safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, 65 pounds occasionally, and 100 pounds with assistance.•* Wear protective footwear at all times.•* Wear hearing protection and protective eyewear as required by task. Use respiratory PPE safely and appropriately.•* Stand and drive for prolonged periods.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES•* Relevant degree/diploma, professional certification, or equivalent work experience/demonstrated skills.•* CDL Class C Required.•* 2+ years' experience operating forklifts.•* Basic carpentry skills.•* Ability to communicate proficiently and proactively with all personnel.•* Strong organizational and planning skills.•* Intrinsic curiosity and enthusiasm for problem solving.•* Uncompromising attention to detail.
