Job Description
Arena is a global investment management firm that seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted, consistent and uncorrelated returns by employing a fundamentals based, asset-oriented financing and investing strategy across the entire credit spectrum in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce.
Through originations and acquisitions of asset-oriented investments across a wide array of commercial and consumer asset types (including but not limited to private direct corporate and commercial real estate bridge lending), the investment team specializes in off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid and esoteric special situation transactions.
Arena’s investment team develops and designs investment structures to meet the unique needs of each opportunity. Arena is looking to expand the Real Estate team, through the addition of an Operations Analyst. In this role, this individual will act as the intermediary between all parties, both internal and external, in closing a transaction. This individual will communicate with internal compliance, internal operations, counterparties, banks, attorneys, and other vendors to answer questions and resolve any issues at closing and future funding. On the days leading up to and on the day of closing, this individual will interact with all parties to resolve any problems.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A successful candidate should be detail-oriented and extremely well organized as well as a meticulous and focused analytical thinker.
•Bachelor’s degree ideally in a quantitative area (e.g., finance, economics, accounting, engineering)
•Experience with financial products is preferred but not necessary
•Excellent communication, time-management, and computer skills including use of Word and Excel
•Strong attention to detail
•Advanced math and calculation skills
•The highest level of personal integrity and ethical standards.
•A positive attitude, strong work ethic and a desire to work collaboratively across the organization.
