Job Description
Position Summary: Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solicitation programs to attract new customers in the business community. Additionally, this position manages commercial customer relationships as well as underwrites and manages commercial loans.
Essential Functions
Develop and implement business development strategies and activities in order to attract profitable new commercial business.
Effectively manage, retain, and grow existing commercial customer relationships to enhance their profitability.
Efficiently and effectively, analyze and underwrite commercial loan requests balancing risk with revenue opportunities.
Negotiate credit terms, such as pricing, loan repayment methods, and collateral specifications.
Provide input into the interest rate structure to be consistent with bank policies and procedures, and to be competitive with current market rates.
Minimize credit portfolio risk by proactively managing assigned commercial loan portfolio. This includes assigning appropriate risk grades, ensuring proper documentation, timely receipt and analysis of financial information, annual credit reviews, and developing and implementing timely action strategies to mitigate risk.
Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
Marginal Functions
Maintain compliance with and adhere to all state and federal regulations and Bank policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, SAR, CTR, FACT ACT, Community Reinvestment Act, EEO, and fair employment practices.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
Previous commercial lending experience (preferred)
Knowledge and experience with Healthcare specific lending (preferred)
Minimum Skill Requirements
Knowledge of bank policies, procedures and products
Effective and professional verbal and written communications
Exceptional interpersonal skills including ability to develop business relationships
Strong research skills
Strong negotiation skills
Proficient on department software and MS Office products
Physical Demands
In terms of an 8-hour workday, "occasional" equals 1% to 33%, "frequent" equals 34% to 66% and "continuous" equals 67% to 100%. However, some duties are performed monthly, annually or sporadically throughout the year and are essential functions.
