Regional North CDL A Truck Driver - Cleveland, OH

Tornado Transport, a carrier known for unparalleled stability and industry-leading driver turnover metrics, is seeking a professional Regional North CDL A Truck Driver. We are looking for experienced drivers to join our fleet and handle full truckload, dry van freight with home time every weekend.

Job Details

• Freight: All freight is 100% no-touch, dry van, and full truckload. Less than 2% of freight is placarded Hazmat.
• Home Time: You will have 48 hours off every weekend.
• Routes: You will operate in the Northern region with no routes to NYC, Canada, or Mexico.

Pay & Bonuses

• Starting Pay: Starting base pay is based on per practical mile.
  • 9-29 months experience: $0.69/mile with Hazmat or $0.67/mile without.
  • 30+ months experience: $0.71/mile with Hazmat or $0.69/mile without.
• Band Pay: Earn an extra $35.00 per loaded mile for hauls 0-100 miles and $25.00 for hauls 101-400 miles.
• Safety Bonuses (Every 90 Days):
  • A CSA Safety Bonus opportunity to earn $875 (if Hazmat Endorsed) or $700 plus 8 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • An On-Road Safety Bonus opportunity to earn $600.
• Additional Pay: Detention pay after only 1 hour, and premium pay per mile for hauling placarded Hazmat.

Equipment & Facilities

• Our fleet includes ~550 late-model Freightliner Cascadia and Kenworth T680 tractors with automatic transmissions.
• Trucks are equipped with 1500-watt inverters, refrigerators, microwaves, and free SiriusXM radio.
• The speed is set at 65 MPH (with PasSmart up to 68 MPH).
• Trailers are 53' Wabash or Great Dane with tracking systems and cargo sensors.

Qualifications

• A valid and current Class A CDL.
• 9 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience (6 months if teaming with an experienced driver).
• No DWIs in the past 7 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations or preventable DOT reportable accidents in the past 3 years.
• Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
• No drug test refusal or failure.
