Job Description
CoVantage Credit Union is excited to be adding a Regulatory Specialist to our growing Compliance team! In this role you will support the Compliance Officer with ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, monitoring regulatory changes, and assisting with implementing policies to mitigate risk.

Job Duties:
- Assists in developing and maintaining a library of compliance resources utilizing resources of the Wisconsin Credit Union League (WCUL), TruStage, National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), and other regulatory bodies such as Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and facilitating staff education.
- Completes compliance packets, distributes to executive management, and takes minutes at compliance committee meetings. Ensures all documentation is thorough and accurate.
- Assists the Compliance Officer with maintaining document retention requirements, compliance reviews, and projects.
- Coordinates timely and accurate production of records pursuant to subpoenas and other requests for documents from agencies such as law enforcement, governmental regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and attorneys.
- Is familiar with and adheres to all aspects and provisions of regulations and policies as they pertain to the individual’s assigned job duties.
- Identifies areas of improvement by providing process improvement recommendations and maintains up-to-date written procedures.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or a minimum of 2 years’ related professional experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with credit union rules and regulations.
- Previous experience with financial institution compliance and audit is desirable, but not required.
- Ability to work in direct, professional contact with a wide variety of people on a daily basis.
- Must be bondable.
