Essential Duties:

Under the general supervision of the Repair & Maintenance Supervisor, the Repair & Maintenance Technician (Driving) is responsible for cleaning and repairing all available inventory based on company policy using the proper cleaning supplies and procedures. The Repair & Maintenance Technician is responsible for logging/documenting all cleaned/repaired inventory for proper record keeping.

Responsibilities: Employees to initial as completed

  • Reports to work daily and is ready to work at the scheduled start time

  • Must wear all safety equipment (i.e. back support and steel toed shoes)

  • Assess "dirty area" and prioritize cleansing/repairing of work load for the day

  • Responsible for ensuring all team members and self are following proper cleaning procedure using

  • Appropriate germicidal Disinfectant cleaner (i.e. cleaning supply should be sprayed, left on equipment 10min prior to cleaning)

  • Ensuring SuperCare infection control cleaning procedure is substantially followed for all contaminated labeled equipment

  • Un-bag equipment

  • Spray germicidal Disinfectant cleaner Spray let sit for 10 minutes

  • Follow standard cleaning of equipment procedure

  • Dispose of rags/towels used to clean contaminated labeled equipment

  • Responsible for allowing equipment/devices to run for a 15-20min time frame for proper testing

  • If any equipment does not successfully pass testing procedures, RM Technician must communicate to Supervisor for further instructions

  • All equipment is to be inspected/evaluated for possible repairs, either in house or sent out to manufacturer if extensive repair is needed

All equipment/devices tested by RM Tech must be logged/documented by end of week (Friday) in the Google Drive file "Cleaning Log", for statistical tracking and productivity (i.e. serial number, item number, & description etc.) purposes

  • All surfaces in RM Department must be wiped down with disinfectant spray at the end of day in preparation of next business day
  • Transports oxygen cylinders, medical equipment and other miscellaneous loads to and from branches, vendors and occasionally SuperCare patients
  • Permitted to handle and transport liquid oxygen
  • Assists in loading/unloading equipment

Maintains safe load securement practices at all times

  • Maintains a clean and valid DL
  • Assists in reviewing accuracy of transfers with packing slips
  • R&M multi-subdepartment back-up
  • Performs any other duties that may be requested by Supervisor or Management
  • Understand and adheres to all of SuperCare Health company policies
  • To remain knowledgeable to date on all products
  • Maintain a professional, safe, and clean work environment

Education and or Work Experience:

  • Graduate from accredited High School
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment and miscellaneous items up to 50lbs on a daily basis

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must hold a Class C CDL with Hazmat & Airbrake Endorsements

Cleaning Procedure

Concentrators (Stationary/Travel)

  • __ Check Purity
  • __ Check Filters
  • __ Check Pressure (liter flow)
  • __ Complete safety inspection on unit for insects, odors, frayed cables, etc.

Regulators / OCD

  • __ Check for leaks
  • __ Check for pressure (liter flow must be between 1-4 or 1-8)
  • __ Check gauge functionality

Suction Machine

  • __ Check all connections functionality
  • __ Check if unit turns on/off properly
  • __ Check life of battery
  • __ Check suctioning pressure on unit

Feeding Pumps

  • __ Check all unit components are intact
  • __ Connect compatible feeding bag
  • __ Turn on pump to test the proper amount/flow is being dispensed

CPAP/BIPAP

  • __ Check all unit components are intact
  • __ Check unit with manometer
  • __ Turn on device to test the proper pressure is being dispensed
  • __ Check Humidifier is working properly

50PSI

  • __ Turn on device to test pressure (knob should be turned to max level)
  • __ Place finger on air outlet to lock in any pressure for proper testing
  • __ Gauge needle should rise between 80PSI to 100PSI

Breast Pumps

  • __ Test pump with pressure gauge (place in breast shield)
  • __ Turn pump on to start suctioning
  • __ Gauge needle should rise between a suction pressure of 100-200

Bili-Lights (Phototherapy Blankets)

  • __ Turn on device to check all lights illuminate
  • __ Complete safety inspection on unit for frayed cables, wires, etc.

Table Top Pulse Oximeters

  • __ Check if unit turns on/off properly
  • __ Place finger probe on finger to ensure proper reading is transmitted

Hospital Beds (Semi/Full Electric)

  • __ Assemble bed completely
  • __ Test head/foot board mechanism
  • __ Test lifting/lowering of bed mechanism

Low Airloss (LAL) & Alternative Pressure Pad

  • __ Check if pumps turn on/off properly
  • __ LAL - after full inspection/clean again and replace filter
  • __ APP - ensure both ports are tested one at a time

Patient Lift

  • __ Place testing weights on equipment (over 50lbs) to ensure hydraulic can support weight
  • __ Check brakes on wheels for safety
