Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Biomedical or Mechanical Engineer to support the development of novel interventional medical devices. These devices integrate needle/catheter engineering, optical imaging, and implantable microdevices to improve precision in cancer diagnostics and treatment.Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Education- Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required.
- Experience- Experience in device engineering in a hospital, industry, or academic 1-2 years preferred and Experience in medical engineering 0-1 year preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong CAD/modeling skills (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining and rapid prototyping
- Familiarity with catheter or needle-based device development
- Experience with 3D printing for functional prototypes
- Knowledge of medical device regulatory processes (e.g., risk assessments, design controls, IRB/FDA submission support)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple prototyping tasks in parallel
Location & Time Commitment
- Based in Boston/Cambridge, MA
- Full-time preferred; part-time or flexible options available for the right candidate
- Must be available for regular in-person lab work (device assembly/testing, support for experiments)
