Opportunity for a 2nd year respiratory student to gain experience in respiratory functions.
Provides quality respiratory care to patients from the neonate to the adult and families in accordance with established policies and procedures under the direction and supervision of a RN or Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Allays fears and explains procedures and treatments to patient in an age appropriate manner. Demonstrates competency and functions utilizing appropriate judgment in all patient settings. Performs miscellaneous delegated tasks as necessary.
- Requires current enrollment in the 2nd year of a CoArc approved Respiratory Therapy program.
- CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required within 30 days of hire.
Paid intern role with an every other weekend work schedule (Saturday & Sunday) allows for focus on classes and clinicals during the week.
