Job Description

Aroma360 is a leading boutique scent marketing and branding company that specializes in creating luxurious, essential oil-based scenting solutions for businesses and individuals around the globe. As the only full-service scenting company, we pride ourselves on guiding our clients from concept to implementation with a commitment to excellence in product innovation, customer service, and brand experience. We're passionate about redefining environments through scent—and we are looking for a dynamic District Manager to help lead that mission across our retail locations. 

The District Retail Manager (DRM) will oversee Aroma360's retail operations across the New York and New Jersey district. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, elevating brand standards, ensuring operational excellence, and leading store managers and teams to achieve revenue targets while delivering a luxury retail experience that reflects the Aroma360 brand. The DRM will collaborate closely with the Director of Retail Sales to align on revenue goals, sales strategies, events, and district performance execution.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop store managers across the district to ensure high-performance teams.
  • Partner with Human Resources on recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top talent.
  • Conduct regular store visits to provide hands-on support, coaching, and performance feedback.

Sales, Events & Traffic Growth

  • Collaborate with the Director of Retail Sales to drive district-level sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute district-wide events and in-store activations that create buzz and drive consistent, high-volume traffic.
  • Partner with local mall marketing teams and corporate marketing to implement promotions, campaigns, and community partnerships that maximize visibility and engagement.
  • Analyze sales and traffic data to implement initiatives that maximize conversion rates, average transaction value, and membership enrollments.

Operations & Standards

  • Ensure consistent execution of Aroma360 retail standards, visual merchandising guidelines, and customer service expectations.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and inventory management.
  • Oversee scheduling, payroll efficiency, and operational budgets for stores within the district.

Customer Experience & Brand Representation

  • Guarantee a luxury customer journey that reflects Aroma360's brand identity.
  • Address and resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Support rollout of new products, membership programs, and seasonal campaigns in partnership with the Director of Retail Sales.

Communication & Reporting

  • Serve as the key link between retail leadership and store teams, ensuring clear communication of goals, priorities, and updates.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting on district performance, traffic-driving initiatives, and operational needs to the Director of Retail and Director of Retail Sales.
  • Share insights from the district to influence corporate strategies and future event planning.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of multi-unit retail management experience, preferably in luxury, lifestyle, or specialty retail.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving consistent traffic, and executing successful retail events.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the NY/NJ district and work evenings/weekends as needed.
