Job Description
The Retail Sales and Support Banker will be proficient across a wide scope of retail banking functions, in order to provide training and development to new and experienced colleagues, with a responsibility to coach and model the way. They have a close relationship with our Training and Development team and Retail leadership, to be a key player in various strategic initiatives, projects, and retail-wide proficiency assessment.
- Collaborate on Department Integration. Cultivate strong working relationships with multiple branch teams and leaders. Serve as a reliable, trusted partner who enhances team morale and supports branch performance, goals, and objectives.
- Demonstrate Flexibility and Adaptability Skills. Continously enhance ability to operate effectively in diverse branch environments. Learn each branch's unique client demographics, staffing structures, and community presence. Maintain readiness to adjust schedules, priorities, and responsibilities with minimal disruption.
- Key player in the onboarding process, partnering with Learning & Development to guide new hires and retail managers through each step of the process efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrates leadership by facilitating team meetings, monitoring progress of team projects, providing support and feedback for Bank staff development.
- Obtains and maintains NMLS. Supports the in-branch training for consumer and HELOC lending. Works with clients from application to closing on HELOC and consumer loans, consistently modeling the way for efficient and compliant completion with high levels of client satisfaction.
- Strengthens each branch's sales effectiveness through:
- Proactively identify sales opportunities in each branch and supporting achievement of branch goals.
- Bridging sales performance gaps by applying best practices and coaching team members when appropriate.
- Maximizing each client interaction to deepen relationships and cross-sell relevant products and services.
- May at times be expected to lead initiatives including sales campaigns or outbound client calls for both relationship expansion and problem resolution.
- Being proficient in all complex client service activities, including but not limited to IRA's (opening, closing, distributions, RMD's, and Beneficiary IRA's), online banking (enrollment, troubleshooting client issues) and understanding features and functionality to increase usage.
