Job Description

NorthKey Community Care is seeking full-time Revenue Cycle Specialist to provide billing support functions in a friendly, positive, and professional manner in an outpatient healthcare environment. This position will interact with third-party payers to file billing claims for services rendered, as well as assist clients in ensuring payment for services.

JOB DUTIES

  • Support NorthKey Community Care staff and clients regarding billing matters in a polite, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Submit billing data to third-party payers and work claims to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided.
  • Perform posting charges and completion of claims to payers in a timely fashion.
  • Assist, cooperate, and communicate with staff regarding fiscal matters in the billing department.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of prior medical billing and/or coding experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Commercial payors
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Skills in analyzing billing issues to formulate logical and objective conclusions and/or recommendations for solutions.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and business software (in particular Electronic Health Record systems and Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel).
