Job Description

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP).

This position manages financial and contractual components of the RHTP; oversees preparation, review disbursement, and administration of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations; coordinates with external partners and vendors; tracks expenditures, monitors budgets, and prepares fiscal reports; provides technical assistance to subrecipients on grant requirements and documentation standards.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

  • Experience in rural-health programs or federally funded health initiatives preferred.

  • Knowledge of CMS funding programs, clinic/hospital operations, telehealth, or rural workforce issues.

  • Ability to manage complex grant portfolios.

  • Meet minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, public administration or related field.

  • Three years of experience in grants management, finance, contract administration, or related fields.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Information

This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
