Valley View Village, a Cassia community, is hiring an experienced RN to join our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing. As the Assisted Director of Nursing at Valley View Village, you will provide leadership and oversight to licensed nurses and care staff, ensuring high-quality resident care and compliance with all nursing and health department standards. This role also serves as the Infection Control Nurse, overseeing the Antibiotic Stewardship Program and wound care management. - Work to coordinate, oversee, and provide resident-related care.
- Manage and assign tasks to nursing staff on the assigned unit.
- Work with the DON to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Notify attending physicians and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition and take follow up action as necessary.
- Monitor in-house transfers, transfers to other facilities, and discharge planning.
- Document and maintain paperwork, referral records, and reports.
- Display a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
- Step in to support the nursing floor and provide direct patient care when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must have a current Iowa RN license or have RN licensure within the compact states.
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
- Current CPR Certification.
- 3-5 years of experience as a nurse supervisor in a skilled health care facility required.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities.
