RN - Psychiatric

Talent Consultants is looking for a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our mental health team. In this role, you will provide holistic care to patients experiencing mental health disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques. The Psychiatric RN will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications, and facilitating therapeutic groups. You will work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and psychiatric medications.
• Ability to conduct mental health assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families.
• Ability to remain calm and function effectively in a high-stress environment.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.
• BLS certification required; CPI or similar restraint training preferred.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and a proactive approach to improving patient outcomes.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
