We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented, and creative team player to join our Aptive team! This is a full-time Safety Claims Specialist position located at our office in Provo, Utah. The individual we are looking for is someone who enjoys working in a team environment and excels working at an individual level.

Responsibilities include:
Manage and monitor open workers' compensation claims across multiple states.
Act as the primary internal contact for injured employees throughout the claims process
Coordinate with third-party administrators (TPAs), insurance carriers, and medical providers to ensure timely and appropriate care
Ensure all claims documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant laws and internal policies
Develop and implement return-to-work plans in collaboration with HR, operations, and health providers
Identify modified duty opportunities and work with managers to facilitate accommodations
Follow up with employees and supervisors to monitor progress toward full-duty return
Serve as the internal point of contact for auto incidents involving company vehicles, including those resulting in injury or property damage
Investigate auto claims by collecting statements, reviewing dashcam footage, gathering police reports, and assessing vehicle damage
Coordinate with insurance carriers, adjusters, and legal counsel to manage the resolution of claims
Communicate with involved employees to provide guidance and ensure timely incident reporting
Track claims status, manage supporting documentation, and ensure compliance with internal reporting timelines and procedures
Work with fleet, HR, and operations teams to identify patterns, improve driving safety, and reduce liability exposure
Support the development and rollout of post-incident corrective actions, such as safety coaching or training
Provide clear, compassionate communication to impacted employees to ensure they feel supported and informed
Maintain accurate records, prepare claims reports, and track key metrics related to injury recovery, time off, costs, and auto liability trends
Participate in incident reviews and root cause analyses to help prevent future injuries and accidents
Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives for claim handling, return-to-work processes, and safety protocols
Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state-specific regulations, as well as internal safety policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Requirements:
3 years of claims management experience
Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset, balancing assertiveness and tact
They must be highly organized, capable of managing multiple claims and priorities, and skilled in analyzing data, writing reports, and recommending best practices
Attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and familiarity with safety management systems, OSHA requirements, and standard office software are essential
