Job Requirements:

The Safety Coordinator will inspect job sites for safety and educate employees about safety.

The Safety Coordinator will:

• Assist in pre-planning for safety.
• Ensure local and federal safety standards are met.
• Purchase safety equipment when needed.
• Perform accident and near miss investigations.
• Take 40 hours of training every year.
• Provide safety training.
• Work with Subcontractors when needed.
• Represent Crossland Construction during an OSHA inspection.

Requirements: The Safety Coordinator must achieve OSHA trainer status, be flexible with a schedule and have excellent communication skills. A bachelor's degree in Safety and Safety training specifically regarding Construction is preferred. CSP or other safety credentials preferred. Bilingual Spanish English preferred.

Purpose: Reduce and eliminate job site accidents through inspections, pre-planning, enforcement and training.

The Safety Coordinator position will:

• Require work in Cold and Hot temperatures.
• Require work at heights.
