The Salesforce Developer will assist in the new development and ongoing support of the Global Salesforce.com environment. This role will work closely with functional leaders, sales team members and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes including: Quote-to-Cash, Third-Party Application Integration, Community portals, business process automation and more. This role will interact with users and provide development support. This role will be responsible for executing day-to-day configuration, support, and maintenance of our Salesforce platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and configure customized solutions using the full Salesforce toolset including custom objects and fields, validation rules, workflows, triggers, etc.
- Create and maintain Salesforce fields, views, reports, dashboards, campaigns, objects, page layouts, custom objects, and new applications when necessary
- Develop an architectural approach to meet key business objectives
- Write test class code coverage and execute unit tests.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and perform the build activities to deliver a solution from the design stage to a functional application.
- Quickly grasp project details and proactively dive deep to debug issues.
- Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation.
- Work confidently with source code, version management, and code deployment standards
- Collaborate with global teams for delivery across geographies, requiring occasional flexibility with working hours.
Required:
- Strong customer communication skills and a positive attitude
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, while managing stakeholder expectations
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
- Fundamental understanding of databases, and how they interact with one another
- Must have historical and proven knowledge and practical application of Visualforce, APEX programming, Force.com APIs, lightning, and Web Services
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related degree (required).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Salesforce.com developer
- Experience with Jitterbit (Integrating Salesforce and SAP)
- Experience in Salesforce business processes: Campaign Management, Lead Management, Opportunity Management, Account Management and Forecasting. Experience customizing and implementing with Objects, Custom Apps, Layouts, Tabs, Validation Rules, Workflows, Approval process, Assignment/Sharing Rules.
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud and CPQ experience preferred.
- Strong Javascript/Front end Skills
- Knowledge on various asynchronous capabilities in salesforce and its use cases
- Strong expertise on web service.
- Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions
- Understanding of key design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices
- Understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations and how these play into platform architecture
- Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
- Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire
Base Pay:
Expected Base Pay Range: $100,000 to $140,000 Annualized
The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level, and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
