We’re seeking an experienced and engaging SAT/ACT Test Prep Tutor to lead small group tutoring sessions at the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad.

This is an in-person position with sessions held after 7pm, ideal for educators or tutors who enjoy working with motivated high school students and have a strong command of standardized test content and strategy.

What You’ll Do

• Lead small group tutoring sessions focused on SAT and ACT preparation

• Teach test-taking strategies, time management, and problem-solving approaches

• Review key content areas in math, reading, writing, and language

• Adapt instruction to meet students’ needs and track their progress through session reports

• Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that builds student confidence

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of SAT and ACT content and question formats

• Experience teaching or tutoring high school students in test prep preferred

• Confident classroom presence and excellent communication skills

• Reliable, professional, and organized

• Availability for evening sessions (after 7pm) at the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred

• Prior SAT/ACT tutoring experience required

• Ability to motivate and engage small groups of students

• Strong math and verbal reasoning skills
