THE JOB:As a Security Academy Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our Security teams by overseeing training operations across our Las Vegas and regional properties. You’ll manage the day-to-day activities of the Security Training Academy, ensuring our officers and leaders receive the certifications, tools, and resources needed to perform at the highest level. This is a dynamic leadership role where your expertise in training, compliance, and operations will directly impact safety, guest service, and enterprise readiness.THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Lead daily operations of the Security Training Academy, managing instructors and ensuring training objectives are met.

  • Create and maintain the master training schedule, ensuring all certifications and compliance deadlines are achieved.

  • Oversee resources, including coursework, training equipment, and classroom facilities.

  • Review and approve documentation, certifications, and reports to meet compliance standards.

  • Provide performance metrics and reporting to Security leadership teams across MGM Resorts.

  • Manage policies, processes, and technology tools to streamline training operations.

  • Collaborate with leaders across properties to identify new training requirements and continuously improve Academy programs.

  • Manage training budgets, inventories, and procurement processes.

  • Deliver briefings, reports, and presentations to senior leaders and executives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory/management experience.

  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, especially in emergencies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executives and frontline staff.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills; experience using technology to improve training efficiency.

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and travel when required.
