Job Description

Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP (Calfee), a full-service corporate law firm with offices in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Washington, D.C. has an opportunity for a security attendant to join its Cleveland office.

The Security Attendant assists with the coordination of all safety and security functions for the Calfee Building to ensure the protection of the Firm’s employees, visitors and assets.  This position maintains high quality security standards according to the Firm’s established policies and procedures.  Exceptional observation and problem-solving skills, along with a positive, patient and helpful attitude is needed for this position.  The Security Attendant maintains positive contact with attorneys and staff while displaying a high level of professionalism and ensures strict confidentiality of client and Firm matters. This position is second shift working from 2:00 pm - 9:15 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily monitoring of the security office; provide surveillance services for the Calfee Building; monitor security camera technology.
  • Observe, document and report incidents and suspicious activity; maintain accurate records.
  • Notify police, fire department, and/or appropriate authorities of situations requiring immediate attention.
  • Assists with the retrieval of security footage and records at the request of management in accordance with Firm policies and procedures.
  • Greet visitors and provide applicable instructions on building security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of security guard experience in a corporate, legal or similar professional setting. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to provide professional and courteous service when interacting with employees, visitors and clients.
  • Exceptional observation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain a meticulous focus on detail.
  • Ability to identify critical issues and respond effectively while maintaining composure.
  • Knowledge of safety and security operations and procedures in a business environment.
