We are currently seeking a Security Specialist to join our organization. As a Security Specialist, you will support the development, implementation, and refinement of security policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance to security protocols. You'll perform security administrative duties such as monitoring and evaluating security systems, identify potential threats to the physical security of employees and company property. You'll assist with post-incident debriefing processes and assist with collecting data, compiling documentation, maintaining notes, and developing reports for investigations while acting as primary contact for security requests received for video, badge, and alarm needs. Additionally, you will serve as primary on call for security needs for all hours.
What you'll do:
You'll be responsible for the operation, troubleshooting, and servicing of security software and equipment including badges, cameras, TracPack, and ENS. Your duties include: securing video, processing badge requests, configuring employee facility alarm and access, managing equipment uptime, monitoring inventory, expense reconciliation, procedure accuracy, system testing, monthly reporting, and coordinating service calls and replacements.
You'll provide scheduled 24-hour response (on-call or emergency, support, and coordination for physical security, incident, and disaster situations (robbery, fire alarm, patrol coordination, video, or any additional function) which may be required to support organizational needs. You'll assist with development, enhancements, and implementation of policies and procedures to detect, prevent, or mitigate the occurrence of loss, threats of violence, or physical harm.
You'll research and investigate assigned potential security threats, and complete reports and lessons learned tasks for escalated security issues and incidents. You'll accurately prepare and deliver various time sensitive data used in compliance, insurance, and management reports.
You'll support and participate in ongoing security related training for employees of the Credit Union. You'll maintain up to date knowledge of security system operations while ensuring accurate security desktop procedures are in place. You'll serve as department liaison for security operational needs with key stakeholders in Facilities, Branch Experience, and Human Resources.
You'll assist Human Resources and Fraud Department with investigations through gathering of evidence and participating in victim or suspect interviews. You'll support periodic inspections, tests, audits, and maintenance of security equipment operations.
To thrive in this role, you will need three to five years of similar or related experience in corporate or organizational security, or law enforcement experience, and an Associate's Degree, and/or a professional security certification.
Key Skills and Experience:
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers appropriately via in person, email etc.
Ability to work closely with law enforcement and other government agencies specific to crisis management.
Experience in multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service.
Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and all internal systems as affiliated with the department.
Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.
