Ideal candidate will be located in or near the Des Moines metro area with ability to travel to the corporate office 2 to 3 days per week
Essentials Functions:
Plans and scopes inter-related initiatives with senior level stakeholders and guides informed decisions about which initiatives to prioritize.
Leads meetings with business and technology partners on highly complex, enterprise wide projects to elicit, analyze, translate, and document complex business requirements into technical requirements to develop a vision of the final product.
Partners with Business Process Management team to create detailed, granular, and development ready requirements/stories for large, highly complex initiatives using the knowledge of business needs and system functionality.
Facilitates a team to create process flows outlining processing and handoffs looking for redundancies and opportunities to minimize handoffs. Delivers workflows and recommendations to stakeholders.
Drives inter-team communication and individual changes needed to ensure initiatives meet their intended outcomes, both throughout the initiative and after implementation. Analyzes the big picture impact of proposed solutions and offers a business perspective during design process.
Collaborates with SMEs and stakeholders to identify gaps and propose creative solutions to solve complex business problems with the team. Performs operational reviews as the initiative progresses and looks for opportunities for improved processes to promote efficiency.
Assists other Business Analysts in the decision-making process and makes recommendations on direction. Provides technical subject matter expertise to other Business Analysts.
Creates testable requirements and/or stories. Performs end-user testing and training tasks. Works closely with the business stakeholders and delivery team to ensure all identified scenarios are properly tested and defects are resolved.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
Eight years of experience in business analysis, process management, or agile development or related experience
Prior experience with software development lifecycles (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall
Professional certifications preferred
Experience in financial services industry preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing business requirements and priorities
Advanced meeting facilitation skills using best practices
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong knowledge of process mapping tools such as Lucid Charts, Visio
Strong knowledge of technical concepts such as client-server, Web applications, and/or Cloud Architecture preferred
Excellent knowledge of business analysis and the applicable tools/deliverables
Ability to deal with conflict, propose solutions, motivate and drive teams to be high performing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either of the following:
$92,670 - $128,045 or $102,443 - $140,845
A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
