In This Role
In this role, you will serve as a Data Scientist focused on player experience and support analytics. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to analyze player interactions, identify friction points across support and engagement channels, and translate data into actionable insights that inform strategy and operational improvements. You will work with large, complex datasets and help connect out-of-game player touchpoints to in-game outcomes, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Success in this role requires strong analytical judgment, comfort working with ambiguous data, and the ability to clearly communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Partner with Player Care, analytics, and data engineering teams to transform player support and engagement data into actionable insights
Analyze player interactions across support systems, social channels, and other out-of-game touchpoints to identify trends and pain points
Develop data-driven recommendations to improve player experience and operational effectiveness
Evaluate the impact of programs and initiatives by tying out-of-game activity to in-game engagement, retention, and other key metrics
Collaborate with other data scientists to incorporate player support findings into broader analytics and reporting efforts
Support analytics requests from Marketing and Consumer Products teams, including ROI analysis and performance optimization
Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards that enable stakeholder self-service and business visibility
Work with high-volume, high-dimensional datasets from multiple sources using a variety of analytical techniques
Independently drive analysis on ambiguous projects involving incomplete or imperfect data
Clearly communicate insights through visualizations, written summaries, and stakeholder presentations
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in data analytics or data science roles
Strong hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis and querying large datasets
Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and exploratory analysis
Experience building and maintaining dashboards using business intelligence tools (Power BI preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously
Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional environments
Ability to commit to a minimum engagement period as required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale data platforms such as Spark, Databricks, or similar technologies
Familiarity with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., PySpark)
Background in statistical analysis, experimentation, or causal inference
Experience analyzing customer support, player experience, or engagement data
Experience evaluating the ROI of programs, campaigns, or operational initiatives
Interest in games, digital entertainment, or player-centric product ecosystems
Prior experience working with complex, messy, or evolving datasets
Salary Range
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $130,000 to $140,000 annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
