Job Description
Who we are:
EOI Space is developing and deploying a network of satellites in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) to provide ultra-high-resolution Earth imagery. We aim to deliver timely and actionable data for commercial and defense applications.
We are on our way to achieving many industry firsts. This demands an ambitious team that revels in leaning into challenges, getting hands on, and working together. Does this sound like you? EOI Space is looking for a Senior Electrical Test Engineer or Electrical Test Engineer to lead the testing of electrical subsystems developed by EOI for use within the spacecraft. The role requires expertise in electrical systems, circuit design, and test execution and automation. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of hands-on work testing electrical systems and designing the test equipment to enable such testing.
What you will do:
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement test plans and test hardware fixtures for our AI&T campaigns of our next-generation spacecraft, spanning the component/subsystem-level to the fully integrated spacecraft. You will collaborate with other electrical engineers as well as cross-functional teams spanning systems engineering, manufacturing, and test to ultimately deliver flight-ready satellites to launch facilities. This is a hands-on role in a lean and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead test planning and execution for electrical systems
Complete the electrical design and integration of various components, with a focus on electrical designs necessary to support testing
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical subsystems into larger aerospace platforms, including avionics, propulsion systems, and communications equipment
Oversee and contribute to the design and testing of wiring harnesses, PCBs, power distribution, and signal interfaces
Develop and execute AI&T strategies for electrical systems, including creating detailed test plans, procedures, implementation of automated testing, and reports
Review and analyze electrical designs to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability, providing solutions to any identified issues
Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts during system integration and testing, driving resolution of electrical failures and anomalies
Support the transition of electrical systems from design and prototyping to full-scale production, overseeing the integration and acceptance testing
Stay current with emerging trends in aerospace electrical engineering and AI&T technologies, proposing innovations for continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
4+ years (10+ years for Senior-level) of hands-on experience in the electrical testing and the design/development of associated infrastructure. Proficient in electrical design, analysis, and integration of aerospace systems with a strong knowledge of power electronics, avionics, electrical subsystems, and circuit design
Experience with Altium Designer (preferred) or equivalent PCB layout tools
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Must be a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $135,000-$175,000 per year, depending on previous experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and internal equity.
Work Location:
This is an onsite position located in Louisville, CO.
