Senior Engineering Technician (Special Inspector)

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician (Special Inspector) in Greenville, SC. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Performing field materials testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt
• Structural inspections for rebar, masonry, post-tensioning, and foundations
• Preparing detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations provided
• Performing laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing reports of results
• Evaluating site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and providing recommendations
• Communicating with clients, contractors, and engineering and technician staff regarding construction issues

Qualifications:

• ACI Level I Concrete Field Testing certification is required
• ICC Certs - one or more in Soils, Reinforced Concrete, High Steel & Bolting is required
• SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Tech, HMA Level I, Earthwork, Foundations, Concrete highly desired
