Senior Full Stack Engineer

Summary

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, planning, and developing our internal applications and services. You will work closely with other developers and stakeholders to continuously improve our systems, from gathering requirements through Scrum processes to delivering high-quality solutions.

This role requires a proactive engineer who can quickly understand business needs, contribute ideas for system design improvements, and deliver well-crafted software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and actively participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Maintain and enhance existing codebases, with a focus on clean implementation and continuous improvement.
• Propose and implement new ideas for system design upgrades and process optimizations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including developers, testers, and product owners, to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Work within a Scrum team and actively participate in ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on programming experience with PHP and Python.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience developing REST APIs.
• Proficiency in relational databases, SQL, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Linux system administration.
• Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ) and logging/monitoring stacks (e.g., ELK) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices (design patterns, coding standards, testing).
• Proficiency with Git and branching workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a self-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication (both in Serbian and English) and collaboration skills.
