Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a data management-related field, and two to three years of experience in a data management position using large datasets, software applications, and computer report writing skills; OR five to six years related experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with data reporting writing, using tools such as PSQuery or SQL or statistical applications (such as SPSS or SAS) or equivalent software
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent organizational and management skills and ability to establish priorities
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and FERPA protected student data with information security standards as a focus
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree and three to five years of experience in a data management position using large datasets, software applications, and computer report writing skills
- Experience working with highly confidential information and maintaining security standards
- Experience with student information systems, such as PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions including PS Query
- Work experience in higher education.
Job Summary
The Registrar's Office is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and training for all student information system functions related to student academic records and courses. In this role the office is required to support the data and information needs of every academic unit on campus and also support the need for student records related data for student service units on campus. The office is also responsible for ensuring the integrity and the security of student academic data. The student information system has many complexities and opportunities to use systems and data to support institutional goals. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting and leading the efforts of the office to use data and systems to support strategic initiatives in the office and more broadly in Academic Affairs.
