Senior Lead Engineer

SUMMARY:

Assist with proper maintenance and operation of property utilities and emergency systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the supervision of preventive maintenance programs, daily repairs and safety programs.
• Requisition parts and material as required.
• Assist in the supervision and coordination of routine tasks; work with other departments on construction and improvement projects. Assist in the supervision of department employees.
• Train and assist junior leads with daily functions.
• Assist in the assurance of all employee and guest safety standards.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads by example and models appropriate appearance and conduct standards for the department.
• Conducts staff meetings and assures clear communications of departmental goals and company information.
• Communicates and enforces all company and department policies and procedures.
• Assists with the appropriate supervision, control and inspection of property projects.
• Assists in establishing design and construction schedules and monitors progress of various projects assuring their conformance to design and construction schedules.
• Assists in keeping current and accurate records on each working project and department responsibilities.
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work process.
• Work cooperatively and jointly with contractors, vendors and other departments to provide quality seamless customer service.
• Assists in the issuance of counseling notices and/or disciplinary actions for employees who violate department or company policies and procedures..
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

• 21 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able communicate effectively in English both in oral and written form.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, technical bulletins, schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to write correspondence and present information in one on one and group situations.
• Must be computer literate.
• Be well versed in one of the Major Engineering disciplines and knowledgeable in two other Engineering disciplines
• Must be able to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with complex problems and situations.
• Must communicate in a manner that helps create a positive atmosphere.
• Must be able to read, comprehend and implement the requirements of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least a minimum of three years related experience and/or training.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• HVAC/R technician type II or universal E.P.A. certification is preferred.
• Valid Driver License Required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
