Senior Manager – Global Higher Education Partnerships

Boeing is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Senior Manager – Global Higher Education Partnerships within Boeing Global Engagement (BGE). This role will lead the company’s higher education strategy, developing and managing partnerships in collaboration with regional community investors with academic institutions to advance Boeing’s talent pipeline, innovation initiatives, community investment goals, and enterprise-wide higher educational outreach.

This role will help shape and execute an integrated strategy that aligns Boeing’s business needs with the national and global higher education landscape, ensuring workforce readiness, and industry leadership in aerospace education. This position can be located in Berkeley, MO; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; or Seattle, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of Boeing’s higher education engagement strategy, aligning with enterprise workforce development priorities and community impact goals in coordination with regional teams that directly interact with the higher education institutions in their regions.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with community colleges, four-year colleges/universities, and academic consortia, particularly in STEM, business, manufacturing, and aviation-related disciplines.

  • Oversee Boeing’s investment portfolio in higher education, including scholarships, faculty research partnerships, endowed programs, and thought leadership forums, in partnership with regional teams.

  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders in HR, Engineering, Talent Acquisition, and Business Units to define academic engagement opportunities tied to future skills needs.

  • Partner to identify appropriate Boeing representation at national and international education forums, including policy roundtables, academic advisory boards, and industry consortia.

  • Ensure program measurement and impact reporting aligned to enterprise goals.

  • Coordinate Boeing resources to create and enhance experimental learning initiatives in collaboration with academic institutions

  • Manage a team and/or cross-functional matrix partners responsible for education strategy implementation.

  • Provide nexus for grant partners with higher education prospects.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience leading and inspiring a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence

  • 5+ years’ experience developing and executing higher education project plans

  • 5+ years’ experience with executive strategic partnership as it pertains to managing grant programs

  • 5+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives and driving innovation, specifically tailored to campus environments

  • 5+ years’ experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication 

  • 5+ years’ experience leading assessment and collaborative resolution of complex cross-functional technical issues amongst multiple diverse stakeholders

  • 10+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in campus recruiting with a strong focus on building relationships with universities and community colleges

  • Experience leading significant campus recruiting efforts in a competitive talent landscape, with a strong emphasis on university partnerships

  • Experience solving complex problems, designing and driving significant value into the organization

  • Experience using Workday and Tableau

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $178,500-$258,750
