Senior Manager of Professional Learning - New York City
The Senior Manager of Professional Learning leads a team of Managers and Associate Managers, full-time Specialists, and in-direct reports of part-time consultants in supporting implementations and adoptions of all CA programs across each component of the Professional Learning journey. This includes developing and presenting implementation plans, delivering targeted professional learning to educators, analyzing assessment and instructional data, and partnering directly with school and district leaders throughout the year. Collaboration and oversight of strategies for maximizing team utilization, optimizing scheduling, and promoting healthy collaboration with internal partners are additional functions of the role.
The Senior Manager of PL will build capacity in Associate Managers and assist in supporting the onboarding and growth of Managers in conjunction with Regional PL Leadership. In addition, this position works closely with sales, partner success, and other Curriculum Associates professionals to ensure strong implementations while supporting the team.
The impact you'll have:
Managing the interview and selection process of the PL team, including Associate Manager positions
Supporting regional planning to establish operational objectives and recommendations for the region in alignment with CA vision
Monitoring individual and team performance metrics to ensure an equitable balance across the team while meeting business demand and team goals (i.e., account ownership responsibilities)
Facilitating ongoing collaboration with PL Managers, supporting their growth, and aligning to regional vision and objectives
Building capacity and empowering Associate Managers to lead their part-time teams
Partnering with PL Directors in the region to effectively assess regional demand and growth opportunities throughout the team
Strategizing with CA internal teams, such as Content and L&D, to support growth needs across the region
Collaborating with leaders and members of the IST to establish and implement strategies for meeting regional goals through consistent best practice and accountability
Managing efficiency and effectiveness of onboarding, coaching, and ongoing building of capacity for the team
Conducting observations for Associate Managers and advanced consultant roles to strengthen leadership expertise
Conducting formal observations for team including informal pre-meetings, observations, personal debrief, and ongoing goal setting and feedback
Facilitating performance evaluations, improvement plan discussions, and regular check-ins to ensure customers are receiving quality outcome-based professional learning focused on impacting student and teacher practice
Ongoing monitoring of business demand versus team capacity to make staffing recommendations
Managing expense approvals, time sheets, time off requests, and other record-keeping responsibilities of the team to ensure compliance with company policies and best practices
Partnering with PL Operations in the management and scheduling process of shift assignments, as needed
Serving as a strong contributor within internal teams to identify barriers to implementation, propose solutions internally and externally, and escalate when needed
Representing PL leadership on Implementation Service Teams (ISTs)
Ensuring quality participation of PL attendees during ISTs
Partnering with sales and partner success counterparts to support new and existing business through participation in presentations and strategic meetings (i.e., Beginning, Mid, and End-of Year, pilots)
Facilitating high-level customer meetings, including high-stakes conversations
Building and maintaining strong and influential relationships with district leader and/or site leaders
Maintaining knowledge of multiple products and facilitation best practices
Serving as an ambassador for Curriculum Associates, exemplifying the company's mission-driven approach and commitment to creating better classrooms for students and teachers

Who we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree and at least 3+ years of experience managing a team responsible for complex district-wide implementations of educational technology programs
2+ years of experience coaching teachers, delivering professional learning and support, analyzing assessment data, and working directly with school and district leaders
2+ years of teaching experience
Evidence of effective leadership in supporting multiple levels within a PL team, including those who are responsible for building capacity across the team
Evidence of high-quality observation and feedback coaching to elevate individual and team performance
Experience in development, training, and accountability for teams on policies, procedures, and best practices
Ability to manage, monitor, evaluate, and ensure integrity of program implementations
Ability to provide high-quality classroom coaching to ensure teachers have the skills necessary to deliver CA solutions effectively
Possess a high degree of comfort engaging in conversations on driving implementation fidelity with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership levels
Growth mindset, with commitment to ongoing learning and willingness to be flexible to meet evolving educator and team needs
Evidence of collaboration/relationship building with leadership and colleagues
Evidence of independence and completion of assigned projects
Proven organization skills, high attention to details, and superior time management that results in effectively completing multiple projects and prioritizing appropriately
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift 50lbs (travel and printed materials) and stand for extended periods of time
Not required, but we'd like to see:
Successfully leading remote teams
Strong project management experience from evaluative and research phase to implementation
Proficient in multiple business programs (i.e., SalesForce, Domo, Quantum, LMS, Outlook, Excel, Word, Ppt)
Math content expert
Experience with fast-paced, complex implementations
Pay Range: This role's range is $93,250 - 166,250.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.

Travel: Travel is required and considered an essential function of the job. Travel includes overnight stays at hotels and transportation via car, plane, and/or public transportation. Throughout the year, this percentage can range from remaining local with no overnight travel to being as high as 50% overnight travel.
During high demand time or acute business need, travel could be as high as 80%. Additionally, a valid driver's license is required for this role.
Location: This position will be required to manage teams that cover the New York State and New York City area to provide live support to districts and build internal capacity across the region. Candidates must either currently live in or be open to relocating to the New York City area. Candidates must have their own transportation as this role requires considerable travel beyond the posted location.
