THE ROLE

The Senior Manager, Talent Effectiveness & Performance partners across divisions to strengthen performance management, talent review, and leader effectiveness practices in a highly matrixed environment.

This role acts as a trusted consultant to divisional HR and business leaders, ensuring performance processes are effective, practical, and aligned to business needs - while maintaining core enterprise principles. The ideal candidate combines strong facilitation, communication, and change management skills with deep understanding of Workday talent modules and performance enablement practices.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Performance Management Consulting: Partner with HR and business leaders across divisions to drive effective goal setting, feedback, and performance review processes that fit each team's operating model while aligning to enterprise standards.

  • Manager Enablement: Build and deliver tools, resources, and communications that enhance leader capability in feedback, coaching, and managing underperformance.

  • Underperformance Support: Advise on the design and maintenance of practical frameworks for performance improvement plans (PIPs) and severance approaches.

  • Talent Calibration: Support HR & business leads in leading calibration and talent discussions across divisions, ensuring equitable and insightful performance and potential assessments.

  • Workday Program Expertise: Leverage Workday to configure, manage, and optimize performance and talent processes; serve as a point of contact for HR partners on Workday workflows, data, and reporting.

  • HR Cyclical Process Leadership: Oversee key performance and talent cycles, providing guidance and coordination across divisions to ensure timely and effective execution.

  • Talent Reviews & Assessments: Support and advise on use of 9-box/4-box frameworks to evaluate talent and identify high potentials, ensuring outcomes translate into development and succession plans.

  • Communications & Change Management: Craft clear, action-oriented communications that build understanding, buy-in, and adoption of performance practices across diverse business units.

  • Insights & Continuous Improvement: Use Workday data, feedback, and talent analytics to identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and improve the impact of performance processes.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • 8-10 years of experience in HR, Talent Management, or Organizational Effectiveness roles

  • Proven ability to consult and influence across multiple divisions or business units in a complex, matrixed environment

  • Strong knowledge of performance management and talent review best practices

  • Experience managing or optimizing performance and talent processes in Workday (configuration, workflows, data, and reporting)

  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills; ability to translate strategy into practical tools and guidance for leaders

  • Analytical mindset with comfort interpreting performance and talent data to drive insights and decisions
